White Mountain-Blog post 4

The theme of the castle of Red Tower is a freedom. In the Red tower, people live with rules and they live as if they are normal even though they are still capped and are obedient to the Tripods. Even though the theme in the castle of Red tower is freedom, people are still Capped. The Comtesse doesn't put Will or his friends into the jail because they think that boys running away from their house is something to be proud of. They don't treat runaways like other towns and villages would do. This is an evidence of freedom. Also, they ask Will if he can stay in the Red tower with them forever. They offer him a place in the Red tower and also offer him a job of a knight if he stays. In the other villages and towns, they would just put them in the jail and call the Tripods to Cap them as soon as possible. This is another evidence of freedom. People in the Red Tower live as if they are uncapped and live happily with their family. This is why the theme is freedom in the castle of Red Tower.

White Mountain-Blog post 3

At first when I got the book in my hand and looked at the title 'White Mountain', I thought 'What kind of book has the title so boring as this?' and I knew right away that this book would be so boring. On the first chapter, in my opinion, it was really 'eventless' and boring. However, as I read on, I started to think differently. It became more exciting. Then, I realized that just because of the title, I thought negatively about the book. So I tried my best to think positively and it became really fun to me. Right now, I want to keep reading the book if there was no announcent made by Mr.Thomas that we have to read as a class so we shouldn't read over the limit. I think people who thinks that White Mountain is boring would change their feelings about the book as they read on. I really enjoy this book and it is really exciting.

WhiteMt Blogpost#2

In the second discussion we learned about Zhanpole (I prefer Beanpole). Beanpole the guy who can speak many different kind of and who also wears a glasses would be a lot of help for Henry and Will. The reason is because Beanpole knows the geographic issues around the area they are currently in and he can speak English and the foreign language so that he can translate them to Will and Henry. There would be no problem with their journey to the White Mountain if Beanpole the guy who seem possibly intelligent and Henry who is really strong is with Will and help him on the journey and be free from Tripods. I hope that really happens and I like the Beanpole guy. I can just trust him on the journey. I think that Beanpole helps the journey a lot.

Blog post #1 White Mountain

Actually there aren't really any parts of Will that is same as mine. Will is a selfish boy, but I don't think that I am that selfish. Well, Will is just like me in the style of obedience. He is also similar to me in the freedom. Will wants a lot of freedom out of Tripods, and I also don't want others to think that I am a little kid who can't go around by himself. Will Parker is just like me in the curriosity also when he wants to take the Watch out and examine it himself and show to Jack to show off. That's also another thing that is just like me. As I think now, I think that there are a lot of parts of Will that is just like me. I don't know why, but it feels good to have something similar with a main character in the story.
