Literature Circles Discussion!

Today in humanities class, we were to have a discussion with our book group. Our book was 'The true confession of Charlotte Doyle'. In my group were TJ, Catherine, Cloy and me. However some of us couldn't bring their questions, signaficant passages and vocabularies paper done. So they couldn't participate in this discussion. The only people left in our group was TJ and me. So we two started discussing about the book. TJ made a really good question. He asked, what was the reason captain Jaggery named the ship 'Seahawk'. I was kind of sure that it was a discussion question, because there were more answers than one. I answered maybe captain's first pet was seahawk when the seahawk died and the captain wanted the ship to be the reminder of the seahawk. My question was that why was the people keep telling Charlotte Doyle that she shouldn't be here in this ship. TJ said that it was because there was some bad and horrible plan going on to kill or hurt Charlotte Doyle. I wasn't so sure about the exact answer. I would have to keep reading to find out. One of my vocabulary word was distorted and complexion. It was pretty hard vocabulary words. I couldn't really remember TJ's vocabularies but I remember saying 'WHOA! THAT IS HARD!' The discussion was really fluent and we were reading the next chapters when the two left out people joined us and told us to listen to their questions. It was really noisy then. However we manged to finish the discussion and it was really fun!!!
